This tutorial is everything I know about professionally finishing polymer clay. It covers the reasons to pay attention to the finish of your polymer work, and ways to kick that finish up to a professional level. It is written for both the beginner and the intermediate polymer artist.
There are a lot more words in this tutorial than some of my others, and you will get the most out of it if you read it from beginning to end. Finishing is much more than just using sandpaper. You will find it takes time to finish a piece well, but the effort will really pay off when you are done.
What you get:
- 12 pages full of good, rich information that is meant to inspire and inform.
- Lots of examples, exercises and tips.
- 21 photos (not bad for a wordy tutorial) of, among other things, my work, which I use as examples
What is covered: (Contains the following sections.)
– Things to Think About
– Best Practices – To Sand or Not To Sand?
– Best Practices – The Art of Sanding
– Best Practices – The Art of Not Sanding
– Best Practices – Buffing and Polishing
– Some Last Words of Encouragement
